Dear visitor,
We would like to point out that an operation always involves risks. Every body is different and reacts differently. Of course we try our best to avoid complications.
Of course, the preparation and aftercare in your home country are also important for an optimal result. Of course, we will also advise you after the procedure and take care of you.
Here you will find some preparations and also the risks for your upcoming operation.
And please don't forget that surgerythe last wayshould be when no other measures are possible.
PREPARATION BREAST LIFT
-
A breast lift only makes sense once you have completed your family planning. Firstly, the breast could sink again after breastfeeding again, secondly, the ability to breastfeed could be impaired by the surgical techniques.
-
If the last pregnancy has ended and you have stopped breastfeeding, you should wait at least eight months before having the breast lift so that the breast can return to its “normal” state.
-
Do not take any anticoagulant or blood-thinning medication two weeks before the breast lift. Unless it is medically necessary, in which case you should discuss this with your doctor.
-
Do not drink alcohol and avoid nicotine (before and after the operation) as this could have a negative effect on the wound healing after the breast lift.
-
To ensure that you are sober for the operation, do not eat after 10 p.m. the night before.
-
If you don't stay in the clinic overnight after breast lift surgery, please arrange someone to take care of you for the first night.
-
For the rest period, we recommend that you take a vacation in good time, at least for two weeks.
POST-OPERATIONAL
It goes without saying that you should take it easy after the breast lift. In general, avoid vigorous exertion for the first six weeks. However, gentle walks in the fresh air can work wonders. Read here what else you should consider:
-
You can usually shower normally a few days after the breast lift, at the latest as soon as the stitches have been removed.
-
Avoid making large movements with your arms as this can put tension on the chest or scars.
-
Sleep on your back with your upper body slightly elevated if possible. This is how you relieve your chest area.
-
You should wear your compression bra around the clock for the first four to six weeks. In this way you protect your breasts on the one hand and help to shape the breasts and heal the seams on the other.
-
Exercising will do you good about six weeks after your breast lift, provided you start gently and carefully.
-
So that your scars heal properly, i.e. so that they are no longer visible, you should avoid UV radiation from the sun or solarium for six months.
The greatest risks in the operations are wound healing disorders, thrombosis, resulting pulmonary embolism and necrosis if the healing process is disturbed. Please be sure to follow the instructions of the doctor and your supervisor!!
